Short-Term Mission Team from So Young Ro Church

So Young Ro Church of Busan, South Korea is sending over 200 college students and young professionals to over 30 churches in Fukuoka, Oita, Saga and Kumamoto Prefectures between July 10 to 18 for a Short-Term Mission Trip. Agape House-Fukuoka will host a team comprised of 7 of these young people.Korean Day1

They will engage in daily morning devotions, prayer and worship, join Bible studies, learn about missions and evangelism in Japan and engage in evangelistic activities such as Gospel tracts distribution in train stations near Agape House-Fukuoka and feeding the homeless at Reisen Park in Hakata Ward. They will also help in painting our church facility and fix some walls.

One of their main activities is to host a Korean Day in Agape House-Fukuoka on July 14, Saturday from 4:00 P.M. They will introduce their culture through a dance performance, Taekwondo demonstration, teaching how to cook a Korean dish, and playing traditional games. They will also cook and serve various Korean foods for the participants to enjoy. (Please click here to join this event.)

On July 15, Sunday, they will join the Agape House brethren from the three worship services (Morning, Evening and Indonesia) in a Joint Worship Service from 4:00 P.M. and an International Potluck Dinner Fellowship from 6:00 P.M.

On July 16, Monday, along with the church members and short mission teams from Koga Gorakugaoka Christ Church and Nozomigaoka Christ Church, they will join together with Agape House-Fukuoka church members for a Joint Sports Day at Koga Civic Gymnasium starting at 3:00 P.M. The entire group will be divided into teams to compete in Badminton, Volleyball and Basketball. After which, the entire group will move to Kora Gorakugaoka Christ Church for a Barbecue Party.

On July 17, they will tour around Fukuoka City and visit a Shinto shrine and a Buddhist temple to learn about Japanese religion and worldview.

Let us pray that the Lord would bless each of these young people and those who will be involved in this series of activities. Let us also pray that the Lord would protect, strengthen, sustain, guide and use each one in proclaiming His gospel and in sharing His love.
