We invite you to join us in picking mikan on November 16 (Sat), 2019 in Kaze-no-oka Noen, Kotake, Munakata City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

After which, we are going to see the West Japan Chrysanthemum Exhibition hosted at Munakata Taisya.  They will display over 3,000 pots of a wide variety of Chrysanthemums coming from different Prefectures in Kyushu and Yamaguchi Prefecture.

The participation fee is ¥600.

The group will depart at 1:00 P.M. from Agape House-Fukuoka and expected to be back by 5:00 P.M.

On November 17 (Sat), 2018, we are going to an orchard in Kazeenooka-noen, Kotake, Koga City, Fukuoka Prefecture to pick some oranges. And you are invited to join us. This activity is called mikan-gari  (みかん狩り) in Japanese. Mikan (or Satsuma Orange) is one of the most widely grown oranges in Japan and you will have the experience to pick them yourself and eat as much as you want in one setting.

The 7-member Short-term Mission Team from So Young Ro Church, Busan South Korea is going to host this event in Agape House-Fukuoka on July 14 (Saturday) from 4:00 P.M. This is part of their Short Mission Trip in Agape House-Fukuoka.

You are all invited to see them perform a Taekwondo-K-pop Dance mix, render a Taekwondo demonstration and teach how to prepare Bibimbap. They are also going to teach some traditional Korean games. And they are going to offer other Korean food for you to taste and enjoy.

Summer is now here and it’s time to sweat out and move that body!

 

Agape House-Fukuoka and Koga Gorakugaoka Christ Church invite you for a Sports Day & Barbecue Party. This is will be on June 9 (Sat), 2018.

The Sports Day will start from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. at Koga Civic Gymnasium. Badminton, Volleyball and Basketball will be played. Please be advised that you will be required to wear your indoor sports shoes to play inside the Gymnasium. Also, please be advised that the Gymnasium has a dressing room but has no shower room.

The Barbecue Party will start from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Koga Gorakugaoka Christ Church.

The participation fee is ¥500. The deadline of registration is on June 7 (Thu).

You are invited to join us on April 28 (Sat), 2018.  We are going to visit Kuwano Strawberry Orchard located in Motogi, Fukutsu City to enjoy a 30-minute “Eat-all-you-can” ichigo-gari (or strawberry picking). And you can join a team of four to play an 18-Hole Putt Golf Mini Tournament at Munakata Yurix, Munakata City.

The basic participation fee is ¥400.

Other fees are the following:

• “Eat-all-you-can” Strawberry Picking Fee:
  • ¥1,000 (for 3 y.o. and older)

Note: You may also take home strawberries for  ¥100 per 100 grams.

• 18-Hole Putt Golf Fee:
  • ¥330 (for middle school students and older)
  • ¥250 (for elementary pupils)

We are going to depart at 10 A.M. from Agape House-Fukuoka and we are expected to return by 5 P.M.

Participants are asked to bring their own packed lunch. Packed lunch can also be bought at a convenience store near Munakata Yurix.

As an optional activity, you may want to visit the Munakata Yurix Planetarium. It features a 50-minute show entitled “Asteroid Investigation (小惑星探査)” scheduled at 1 P.M. and 3 P.M.  Viewing ticket price is ¥370 for middle school students and older and  ¥150 for elementary pupils.  Please be advised that these shows are only available in Japanese.
